Presenting the Wines of Grgich Hills Estate
Saturday, April 17: Reception with animal ambassadors at the Treetops Banquet Room, 6–7 p.m. Dinner immediately following the reception.
Albert’s Executive Chef Chris Mirguet and Sous Chef Charles Boukas have again put their culinary talents to work creating a magnificent Winemaker Dinner pairing their creations with some excellent wine selections. You won’t want to miss it!
Violet Grgich’s passion for wine began at an early age, as she literally grew up accompanying her father in the vineyards and cellar. She spent her summers at the winery, doing everything from bottling line work to laboratory analysis and working in the tasting room. After graduation from the University of California, Davis, she returned home to Grgich Hills to continue her education in the wine business, learning about daily operations of the winery. Involved with every aspect of the wine business, Violet enjoys wearing many different hats, often at the same time. She explains, “My dad insisted that in order to lead the winery I needed to work at every single position, starting at the bottom.” Violet continues to enjoy learning something new each day and following her grandfather and father’s philosophy of “Every day do something just a little better.”
$89 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Limited seating. Maximum party size is 8 people. Must is 21 years old to attend. Please call 619-557-3964 for reservations and ask for Grgich Hills Winemaker Dinner reservations 10 a.m.–4 p.m. daily. Secure your reservations with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
