Calendar: Little Artists
At the San Diego Zoo
Art and science make fun partners as youngsters learn to see animals through the
eyes of an artist. Our professional art teacher balances guided art
instruction with individual creativity. Each day participants will meet an
interesting animal, perhaps visiting the animal's bedroom or getting close
enough to touch it, then work on a wildlife art project to take home.
Sign up for one or two weeks of fun (free T-shirt included)! Classes also include a fun and educational camp show in the auditorium. Program runs 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and is $201 for members, $216 for nonmembers. With Extended-day Option (7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) the fee is $285 for members, $300 for nonmembers.
If your child has a special need, please call (619) 231-1515, ext. 4142, and ask for the Little Artists coordinator. We partner with Kids Included Together, Inc.® to provide a fun and safe experience for everyone.
Applications are processed by postmark/fax date. A confirmation letter will be sent to you upon enrollment. If the program you registered for is sold out, your payment will be returned. Sorry, no refunds on cancellations with less than two weeks' notice or on fees less than $30. We retain a $10 cancellation fee per person, per program. Please note that some elements of all classes are subject to change due to weather, animal illness, availability, etc. Prices subject to change without notice.
Colorful CrittersAnimals come in such a variety of colors! Make new and exciting observations while taking a closer look at amazing armor, smooth scales, fancy fur, and fluffy feathers. |

Wild DesignsFrom rolly-polly to long and lanky, learn to see shapes through the eyes of an artist. Best of all, find that all those strange shapes are well matched for each animal's unique lifestyle. |
